  18. I have some problem with my SunLink ISDN Enable Kits. When I use
  19. command "ping" to do ISDN connection, the ISDN-manager shows me
  20. the following error message:
  21.         isdnmgr Fri Aug 20 16:04:40 1993: connection ipd0 to x1sunb-i:
  22.         dialing [4002/]
  23.         isdnmgr Fri Aug 20 16:04:41 1993: *** Error: ioctl failed in init_proto:
  24.         PPP_SET_LOCAL_PASSWD: errno = 22: Invalid argument
  25.         isdnmgr Fri Aug 20 16:04:41 1993: connection ipd0 with x1sunb-i:
  26.         closed [ local error ]
  27.         isdnmgr Fri Aug 20 16:04:41 1993: Cause is: PPP error

  29. The caller attempted to set up connection but it failed with an ioctl.
  30. The packages were installed on SS10 and Classic. They both are running
  31. Solaris 2.3. They are to be linked with ISDN through a Private Exchange
  32. (or PABX). And the network type is AT&T 5E5. The baud rate of B-channel
  33. is 64 kbps.

  35. I have tried to configure the packages as point-to-point connection.
  36. The manager shows me the similar error message as below,

  45. Has someone used the SunLink ISDN successfully. I think the failure
  46. results from the software PPP protocol. Am I right?
  47. In fact, the system (Solaris 2.3) runs an Asynchronous PPP daemon
  48. while booting up. Does it affect the connection? If it does how could I
  49. solve the problem? Any help or advice will be appreciated.
